GrandFUN is Having a Picnic in the Park!
Someone once said, “Nothing is better than a picnic in summer.” GrandFUN just happens to agree. On Tuesday, July 24, 2019 from 11:30 am to 2:00pm, GrandFUN will have an old fashioned picnic in Marlton Park under the Rotary Pavilion.
The Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities will be providing a picnic lunch including hamburgers, hot dogs, and all the fixings. We will have organized game activities including Pass the Ice Cube, a wet sponge relay race, and Dress the Mummy. Plan to get wet and maybe a little dirty during this afternoon of food and games!
GrandFUN was created for Grandparents and Other Older Adult Caregivers (55+) , who have primary caregiving responsibilities for children under 18 years of age.
Events are held in the evenings, weekends, or around the grandchildren’s school schedules throughout the year. The Office on Aging and Disabilites will be hosting free events in and around the county as well as surrounding areas.
Advanced registration is required. To register or obtain more information about GrandFUN, call the Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities at 856-339-8622. Also, get regular updates on events on our Facebook page, located at www.facebook.com/salemcounty.ooa or sign up for our Senior Enews.
