Businesses: Register For the BoroBucks gift card program!

Glassboro’s Mayor and Council in partnership with Department of Community Affairs utilizing an existing Neighborhood Preservation Grant and matching sponsorship from Nexus Properties, ERA Realty, and South Jersey Federal Credit Union, has launched a new Gift Card Stimulus Program in order to invest in local small business locations severely impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To purchase the cards, residents will visit our BoroBucks outdoor sales trailer located in Glassboro Town Square, June 15-18, 9 AM – 4 PM, or until fund is depleted.  *These dates are in anticipation of the Governor’s Executive Order 107 being lifted and may change.

Residents purchase a BoroBucks gift cards by paying $5 minimum up to $50 max and the Borough will match 100% the purchase amount by issuing residents the full amount in BoroBucks plastic gift cards. 

Consumers can then visit any approved and participating business from this list and spend their gift cards just as they would cash. Cards must be used by August 31, 2020. That’s it! No forms, no rebates, no fuss. 

The businesses receive full face value of the cards.  July 13-17 and September 1-30, 2020, immediately after the closing of the program participating businesses will submit used gift cards and receive the full value amount as a much needed stimulus via check or direct deposit.

Glassboro businesses can register here for approval. They simply fill out an online form to let us know their willingness to participate and once approved we will add them to the list for consumers to see. We hope that businesses will be offering amazing offers to coincide with the program and help consumers get the most out of this opportunity.

• There are no restrictions.
• The card is used as cash and can be combined with existing business offers.
• The program ends at midnight on August 31, 2020.
• Businesses can visit the Borough of Glassboro Finance Office from July 13-17 and September 1-30, 2020 to get reimbursed for the full face value of the BoroBucks gift cards used at their location.
