Stand Up For Salem’ s 22nd Annual Fundraiser
Stand Up For Salem (SUFS) hosted their annual fundraiser during the evening of Thursday, September 24th. Community members and leaders gathered at Fenwick Plaza to celebrate and raise money for the many community efforts of Stand Up For Salem.
The event hosted a BBQ takeaway dinner, an auction, tours of the JCPenney building undergoing restoration and the Hires Avenue Community Garden, and featured a video highlighting the good work and future plans of SUFS. Social distancing and masks were required at all times during the event, but that didn’t hinder the love and inspiration felt in the plaza. The evening
capped off with an award ceremony honoring Ryan Sweeney of Pat’s Pizzeria and the Salem County chapter of the NAACP with the Pederson-Campbell award. You can enjoy highlights from the event on our facebook page.
Due to the pandemic, the fundraiser was limited for attendees, which has allowed SUFS to continue the auction excitement via social media– so stay tuned for your chance to get in on the action! Stand Up For Salem thanks the community for their continued support.
