From Arts & Crafts to Food & Wine and Fun for the Kids, there’s a world of great events, festivals, fairs and fitness events in New Jersey’s Heartland. Here is a listing of all of the upcoming events.
Mr. Malcolm, the Director of our Children’s Theatre, is pleased to announce a Fall Musical this year! Children aged 6-9 will be performing “Broadway Theatre Christmas Spectacular” and children aged 10-14 will be performing “A Frozen Holiday!” Rehearsals will run from 4:00PM – 6:00PM Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s. Registration will be limited, we will be accepting applications on a first-come, first-serve basis, so sign up early to secure your child’s spot!

It is Santa’s 500th trip around the world! The whole North Pole is celebrating! Mrs. Claus is getting the Elves, Reindeer, Frosty and all our friends on the Polar Express ready for the party. This celebration will feature Holiday classics like: “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, “Frosty the Snowman”, “Here Comes Santa Claus” and many, many more!

A Queen is celebrating her first Christmas in the Kingdom since taking the throne. Her family and friends are so excited! That is until Jack Frost starts causing trouble! He tells all that he will “freeze” the entire Kingdom unless he is crowned King. Who can they call for help? Santa and all his friends at the North Pole of course! Join us for this fun-filled Holiday Musical featuring all of your Holiday Classics!
Auditions:
To ensure a great start to our Fall Musical, we will be holding Auditions on the following days and times before the first night of rehearsal on Monday November 9, 2020:
November 7, 2020 from 12:00PM – 3:00PM (Broadway Theatre Christmas Spectacular, Ages 6-9)
November 8, 2020 from 12:00PM – 3:00PM (A Frozen Holiday!, Ages 10-14)
Please attend the correct day for auditions. Mr. Malcolm guarantees everyone who signs up will have a named meaningful role in the production with at least 5 lines in the performance! 🙂
What song can you sing at auditions? Anything! Some suggestions:
A Holiday song of their choice
A Broadway song of their choice
A pop song of their choice

Show Days:
The performances will be on Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th. Each child will perform not only once, but twice! “Broadway Theatre Christmas Spectacular” will perform at 10:00AM Saturday and Sunday. “A Frozen Holiday!” will perform at 1:00PM on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be reserved with social distancing in place. Tickets will be sold as a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be sold exclusively to only friends and family of the children signed up for the Fall Musical. Ticket sales will be limited by the state of NJ department of health guidelines at the time of the performance.
Registration closes on October 30, 2020. We need to have this completed form in our hands before then. Return this completed application along with payment to the Broadway Theatre of Pitman, PO Box 118, Pitman, NJ 08071. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Service at 856.384.8381 Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. The physical address of the theatre (but not the mailing address) is 43 South Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071. All pages of this application must be submitted in its entirety. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Submit your application early to ensure availability for your child(ren).
NOTE: Safety protocols will be adhered to. Social distancing will be in effect, masks must always be worn, and a temperature check will be taken at the door. Please do not bring your child to rehearsal if he/she is ill. Children who have a fever or are taking any medication for an illness should not attend rehearsal.
Payment to Mr. Malcolm’s Fall Musical is completely non-refundable for any reason whatsoever. If the state of New Jersey allows theatres to remain open with limited capacity, social distancing, and CDC guidelines and restrictions, this activity will go on as scheduled. There is a limited number of applications we are accepting, we will be accepting them as a first-come, first-serve basis.
