THE LAST WALTZ Celebration featuring The THE BAND Band with the TTBB Horns & Special Guests

If you like the music of The Band, you’ll love The THE BAND Band and their Last Waltz Celebration!

On Thanksgiving Day in 1976, The Band held their legendary farewell concert, The Last Waltz, at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom. It showcased their classic hits “The Weight,” “Up On Cripple Creek,” “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,” “Ophelia,” and “It Makes No Difference,” and featured more than a dozen guest artists that included Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton and Van Morrison. In 1978 it was immortalized in the Martin Scorsese-directed film, The Last Waltz.

The THE BAND Band recreates this spectacular event in brilliant fashion with The Last Waltz Celebration. Joined by the TTBB Horns, they deliver with the passion and commitment for which The Band was renowned, and as The Band did in 1976, they also back up the many talented artists presenting the “special guest” performances, including Big Jim Wheeler, The Roues Brothers, Thom Hogan, Melanie Hogan, James Finnen, and Mike Tichy. And to add some extra authenticity, they’re also joined by fiddle player extraordinaire Larry Packer, who played on stage with The Band at The Last Waltz.

The TTBB Horns are Dana Watson (trumpet), David Fox (sax), and Jason Ingram (trombone).
