SPAN Parent Advocacy Network will be offering a free workshop to families on July 27, 2023, in Millville, NJ. This is designed for families who have children/young adults receiving special education and related services. The offering will be in English and Spanish.
Special Education Workshop builds a good foundation for those who are new to Special Education or who need a refresher. This one day training will provide you the following information and resources to help navigate the special education process.
- Basic Rights: An introduction to rights and responsibilities as parents of children with disabilities
- Key components of the IEP: A review of the essential components of an Individualized Education Plan
- From measurable goals the making progress: Strategies to creates IEPs with measurable annual goals as well as the required information regarding student progress
