“Once again we are hosting the “Happy Hauntless Hayride” in our neighborhood for the Halloween season. Pam and Ed, friends of mine, do a wonderful job with this parade float that has synchronized music and lights. They give kids a ride around the neighborhoods and the night of October 14th is the night I host.

We will start at 7pm and the rides will continue until at least 9pm. Please stagger your arrival times to avoid a traffic jam. We like to have the youngest kids go first so please arrive accordingly.

The hayride is free, but we do ask that each family bring a bag or two, or three of candy. What ever they are able to. We will not turn away anyone if they don’t have candy. We collect candy and give it out at the Ocean City, Medford, and Mays Landing Parades. Last year we gave out 4 -6 full 18 gallon tubs of candy at each parade and still ran out by the end of the route so we need lots of candy to give out.

We ask everyone to please park on the same side of the street so the float can pass by easily.”
