Social Media, Artificial Intelligence, and Video Games. What do they have in common?
To understand this and more, join the South Jersey Holocaust Coalition, on February 1, 2024, for a presentation by Cumberland County TEC’s Shawn Riggins, a history teacher at TEC and experienced tech advocate.
Shawn Riggins is an Alfred Lerner Fellow with the Jewish Foundation for the Righteous. In this past year, he participated in the JFR’s Educator Tour to Germany and Poland. Riggins is also on the board of the South Jersey Holocaust Coalition, and active and essential member whose skills provide the Coalition with flawless presentation mechanics related to the virtual presentations we now offer along with in-person participation.
We invite you to attend this presentation either in-person or virtually. We will explore the dynamic intersection of social media, artificial intelligence, and video games to the ways we teach and learn about the Holocaust. Participants will discuss the possible potentials and pitfalls of these emergent technologies on how we understand and approach the Holocaust. Discover innovative strategies for leveraging TikTok to captivate the younger generation, delve into the potential of AI-driven personalized learning experiences, and explore the immersive world of video games as a tool for historical understanding.

Our presentations are compliments of Jewish Federation of Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem Counties. There is no charge. The South Jersey Coalition partners with the Federation to offer educational opportunities to educators and the public on issues and themes related to the Holocaust.
