What is hotpot?
Originating in East Asia and Southeast Asia, hotpot is exactly how it sounds. A flavorful broth is created with dozens of ingredients and left to simmer on a small stove in a metal large pot in the middle of the dining table.
With a plethora of raw ingredients surrounding the pot, (such as thinly sliced meat, vegetables, and seafood) diners pick what they want to eat and toss it into the hotpot to cook and soak up the flavor of the broth. There will also be tons of sauces and spices to choose from. You can even create your own special sauce, perfect for dipping the freshly cooked ingredients!
