Digging Up Vineland’s Past

$2.00Dr. Robert L. Schuyler of the University of Penn Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology is coming to the Vineland Historical & Antiquarian Museum to present “The South Jersey Project: Exploring Vineland, New Jersey”. Initiated in 2001, “The South Jersey Project” is a long-term investigation of Vineland, N.J. and the region around this planned Victorian Period agricultural community. The project equally explores both the 19th and the 20th centuries and involves not only archaeology but also archival, oral historic and ethnographic research.
Those who attend the session will learn that archaeology is not just about what you find, but what you find out.
Museum doors will open at 12:30 p.m. Admission is $2.00, and refreshments will be served. Ample free parking is nearby.
