The New Jersey’s Heartland team had a great time visiting Hammonton for the Food Truck Festival and Vineland for the 25th Annual Car Show last weekend! This week, we will be moving our party along to Millville for Third Friday! Visit our table at the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts to spin our “Pick Your Prize” wheel.

The Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center is hosting a new exhibition, Over the Bridge, in the Gallery of Fine Craft from May 28th to June 26th. Inspired by the Museum of American Glass’ special exhibit, From the Ground Up, the show features the contemporary works of Philadelphia region artists. The gallery showcases many different types of media, including two-dimensional work, glass art, sculpture, ceramics, mosaic work, and more.

Dr. Robert L. Schuyler of the University of Penn Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology is coming to the Vineland Historical & Antiquarian Museum to present “The South Jersey Project: Exploring Vineland, New Jersey”. Initiated in 2001, “The South Jersey Project” is a long-term investigation of Vineland, N.J. and the region around this planned Victorian Period agricultural community. The project equally explores both the 19th and the 20th centuries and involves not only archaeology but also archival, oral historic and ethnographic research.Those who attend the session will learn that archaeology is not just about what you find, but what you find out.
Museum doors will open at 12:30 p.m. Admission is $2.00, and refreshments will be served. Ample free parking is nearby.
