A national cultural treasure, WheatonArts is located on 45 wooded acres in southern New Jersey. WheatonArts is home to the Museum of American Glass, the Creative Glass Center of America International Fellowship Program, the largest folklife program in the Garden State, a hot glass studio, several traditional craft studios, four museum stores, a 9,000 sq. ft. Maurice river cruises
The beautiful Maurice River begins at Union Lake in Millville NJ and empties out in the Delaware River 25 miles later. The river has been declared “Wild and Scenic” which protects it from commercialism and development. On the cruise, you will see gorgeous meadows, wild rice, lots of wildlife, and the only working diked farm left in New Jersey. Both dock and boat are handicapped accessible.

Millville Army Airfield Museum
On the grounds of “America’s First Defense Airport,” stands the Millville Army Airfield Museum, which is dedicated to telling the stories of those who trained there, died there, and went on to serve our country in WWII and other wars throughout our history. What started as a Millville resident’s collection of artifacts discovered in underground bunkers near the Millville airport has become an entire museum with a growing reputation for its World War II and post war aviation history. With exhibits dedicated to the Philadelphia Seaplane Base Museum, Navajo Code Talkers, Women with Wings and many more, this museum is a must-see for any military or airplane enthusiast. The museum is host to many events, large and small, from movie nights to air shows.

Maurice River Bluffs Nature Preserve
As one of New Jersey’s most visited preserves, the Maurice River Bluffs provides many opportunities for outdoor recreation, including five established trails. The nature preserve is also home to a floating dock and offers an unobstructed view of two bald eagle nests, as well as many benches and picnic tables, which provide scenic spots for observation and relaxation.
Located along the 35.4-mile “Wild and Scenic” Maurice River, the 525-acre preserve gets its name from the majestic bluffs overlooking the river. The preserve provides crucial stopover habitat for migrating and breeding birds, including songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors like nesting osprey and bald eagles. The nature preserve also hosts productive freshwater ponds and unique plant communities, including some of New Jersey’s largest contiguous wild rice marshes.
