Art of Resilience Workshop

Art of Resilience Workshop. Sat, Oct 22, 2016 @ 12PM – 2PM. Millville Public Library 210 Buck St, Millville, New Jersey 08332.
In this workshop, participants are encouraged to create artwork that expresses their feelings, experiences and ideas. Students will be led by visual artist/musician Nadine LaFond. Nadine was inspired by the traveling exhibition, “An Epistle of Resilience” which showcases works by the young artists of Art Creation Foundation for Children (ACFFC) who survived the earthquake that devastated Haiti in 2010. “Through challenging times, the arts have made it possible to face, reflect and transform suffering into valuable lessons for moving forward through life.” Event is sponsored by Cumberland County Cultural & Heritage Commission.
