Come Meet New Jersey’s Heartland at The WheatonArts Festival of Fine Craft in Millville
The journey we are about to embark on with the launch of our New Jersey’s Heartland destination marketing campaign is going to be one filled with exciting news and new adventures.
The Pascale Sykes Foundation is pleased and proud to announce that it will be introducing New Jersey’s Heartland at one of the most popular and long-running festivals in the four-county region – the WheatonArts Festival of Fine Craft in Millville. We invite you to be there on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 10 a.m. when we kickoff the festivities at the opening of the festival, or visit us either day at our booth just inside the main entrance.
To mark this special occasion, New Jersey’s Heartland and our friends at WheatonArts are offering you $2 PER PERSON OFF ANY ADMISSION.
The WheatonArts Festival of Fine Craft is a two-day event, held this year on October 3 & 4, 2015. WheatonArts and Cultural Center was founded in 1968 as a nonprofit that encourages artists and audiences to explore art. It has a Creative Glass Center (CGCA) that serves a resource center for artists working in glass. It also houses The Museum of American Glass, which has the most comprehensive collection of glass produced in America.
This year’s festival of fine craft at WheatonArts will include loads of fun activities! There will be 130+ juried artists, artist demonstrations, musical entertainment, hands-on-family activities, wine tasting, and its very own beer and wine garden. The popular “Glass Pumpkin Patch” of WheatonArts’ Museum of American Glass will have hundreds of glass pumpkins, in all colors and sizes available for purchase. Take a look at pictures from last year’s event: (I’ll find pictures)
This is a great opportunity to bring the entire family to experience a weekend filled with culture and entertainment. Some family activities include:
- Watercolor Resist Painting: Spider Webs
- Day of the Dead Masks
- Beaded Spiders
- Scarecrow Construction
- Sidewalk Chalk
If you’re having summertime blues, the festival is an example of how New Jersey’s Heartland doesn’t shut down after summer. You can enjoy the beauty of fall and its weather by joining us for a glass of wine from the Auburn Road Vineyard or a beer from the Flying Fish Brewery at the WheatonArts Wine and Beer Garden. The festival has something exciting to offer everyone.
We are thankful to the WheatonArts and Cultural Center for allowing us to celebrate our first step in this journey at their wonderful fine craft festival. We are proud and feel fortunate to be part of a community that has so much to offer.
We look forward to meeting many of the people who call New Jersey’s Heartland their home on October 3 & 4 and to begin the incredible adventure ahead.
