A Matter of Balance Classes Offered
Have you turned down opportunities to go out with family or friends because you were concerned about falling? Have you cut back on participating in your favorite activities because you might fall? If so, A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls is the program for you.
Fear about falling can be just as dangerous as falling itself. People who have a fear of falling frequently limit their activities and mobility, which weaken the muscles and actually increases the risk of falling. Thru A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls, you will learn simple things you can do to help reduce your fear of falling.
Classes will meet on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on September 30, October 7, 9, 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30, 2019. Each class builds upon the previous session. A Matter of Balance is led by a trained staff and volunteer through the program.
A Matter of Balance program will be held at the Salem County Agricultural Building (also known as the Ware Building) located 51 Cheney Rd, Woodstown , NJ 08098. Courtesy transportation is available th rough SCOOT Transportation by calling 856-339-8644.
