Angela Seri Krukauskas
On December 12, 2017, a very generous woman by the name of Angela Seri Krukauskas expressed interest in starting her very own food pantry. Just a simple box in front of her Egg Harbor City home with the title “Take a blessing if you need one, Leave a blessing if you can” on the front. The next day, she received a great deal of positive feedback, and within 6 days the box was fully stocked! Just 5 days later, Christmas gifts started getting donated. Due to the number of gifts received, Angela and those who donated were able to give 14 children a Christmas that they otherwise would never have had.
Not even before the end of that same year, a mom desperate for a nebulizer to give her child medication reached out to Angela for help. Angela then reached out for help from her Egg Harbor City community, using the hashtag she created #no1hungryinEHC and within hours was able to get the mother what she needed. Angela’s generosity does not stop here either though, as she even opened up her home during some of the coldest weather this area had seen in quite some time to keep the citizens warm.
Today, as thanks to this amazing woman, Angela Seri Krukauskas, over 125 students had filled backpacks to return to school with this past September. Angela kept the giving tradition going in 2018 too, as just last month over 100 families have received Christmas gifts through her efforts. Her neighbors call her “The Angel of Boston Ave”!
