Bus Trip To National Holocaust Memorial Museum Scheduled For February 27
VINELAND, NJ—A bus trip to the National Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC, sponsored by The South Jersey Holocaust Coalition, the Jewish Federation of Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem Counties, and the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education, will take place on Wednesday, February 27.
All educators and members of the public are invited. A certificate for Professional Development Hours (PDH) will be awarded for all interested educators.
The bus will depart the Luciano Conference Center at Cumberland County College, 3322 College Dr., Vineland, NJ at 8 a.m. sharp. (Please arrive no later than 7:30 a.m.) Parking locations will be posted on the South Jersey Holocaust Coalitions website—www.HolocaustCoalition.com.
On the return trip, the bus will depart the museum at approximately 4 p.m. and will return to Cumberland County College by approximately 8:45 p.m. Stops will be made at The Maryland House for refreshments.
The museum offers excellent materials for classroom use and the tour will be conducted by a docent of the Museum for the group. (Individual walk-ins may be available at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, but individuals MUST return by the stated time back to the Holocaust Memorial Museum for the return trip to Vineland.)
Space is limited. There is no entry fee for the Museum. All costs go towards rental of the bus. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis and are due by February 20, 2019. A non-refundable payment of $45.00 must accompany your reservation. Please make checks payable to The Jewish Federation of Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem Counties and mailed to the Federation at: 1015 E. Park Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360. (On memo line, please write: “Coalition Bus Trip.”) All reservations must be made through the Jewish Federation. Educators requesting PDH certificates should include the name of their school.
