Bus Trip To The Neue Galerie And The Auschwitz Exhibit At The Museum Of Jewish Heritage In New York City
A bus trip to New York City to the Neue Galerie and to the Auschwitz exhibit Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away at the Museum of Jewish Heritage will take place on Thursday, June 13.
The trip is sponsored by The South Jersey Holocaust Coalition, the Jewish Federation of Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem Counties, and the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education.
The Neue Galerie is a noted museum housing early 20th-century German and Austrian art and design. Included in its collection is major Austrian and Weimer art by Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, Alfred Kubin, Egon Schiele, Otto Dix, and Max Beckmann. On display will be the famed “Woman in Gold” portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer by Gustav Klimt.
The ground-breaking Auschwitz exhibit at the Museum of Jewish Heritage contains over 700 original objects and 400 photographs from over 20 world-wide institutions and museums.
The trip will be for educators and the public. For educators participating, the Vineland School District will grant Professional Development Day certificates for six Professional Development Hours (PDH).
The bus will be leaving the Luciano Conference & Events Center at Cumberland County College, 3322 College Drive, Vineland, at 7:30 a.m. sharp. Those going should arrive no later than 7 a.m. The bus will return to the Luciano Center at Cumberland County College by approximately 9:30 p.m. Stops will be made going and returning for refreshments.
Reservations are extremely limited. Those wishing to register must send a $75 non-refundable payment per person. reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of the check. The payment includes all admissions. Payment must be made to The Jewish Federation, and sent to The Jewish Federation of Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem Counties, 1015 E. Park Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360. Write on the check memo line “NYC Bus Trip.” Do not call the Jewish Federation office to make reservations.
