CFSJ Announces Transform South Jersey
Last week, the Community Foundation of South Jersey launched a brand new initiative, Transform South Jersey, and we need your help in getting the word out about this amazing opportunity for South Jersey cities & towns.
Transform South Jersey aims to strengthen the social, cultural and economic vibrancy of five South Jersey communities by empowering residents to inform community development and shape the future based on what matters most to them. To help them do so, selected municipalities will receive training and coaching, support in establishing & building their own locally controlled community endowed fund, and have access to up to $100,000 in funding to support their efforts.
In addition to having a population of less than 50,000 residents, interested municipalities must send representatives to one of our upcoming introductory Community Heart & Soul workshops, where we will explain the Heart & Soul model, share examples of other communities across the country who have gone through it, and outline the process for how local South Jersey cities and town can get involved.
Letters of interest will only be accepted from municipalities that have sent at least five community members to one of these workshops, so please click here to find out the details about them and to register.
If you can help spread the word about Transform South Jersey, please share this message with friends, family, community members, civic leaders, representatives of local government, civic groups and nonprofit organizations in eligible counties (Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem), and encourage them to attend one of our upcoming workshops.
