County To Offer Free “Tai Chi For Arthritis” Classes For Seniors And Disabled
Salem, NJ – The Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities in the County Department of Health and Human Services will be offering free Tai Chi for Arthritis classes for seniors and those with disabilities beginning in November and continuing through 2019.
The classes will begin Thursday, November 8, at the Mid-Atlantic States Career and Education Center in Pennsville, from 1 :00 PM to 2 00 PM. Tai Chi for Arthritis involves 12 movements that are designed to be safe and beneficial for people with arthritis. Participants will move through the positions slowly, working within comfort limits. Jerre Blake, a certified instructor, will lead the evidence-based program.
Advance registration is required as space is limited.
Courtesy transportation is available for seniors and those with disabilities.
The class schedule for 2019 will be announced.
