Cumberland County wins $100,000 NJEDA Opportunity Zone Challenge Grant
Cumberland County was selected as one of the five winners of a $100,000
Opportunity Zone challenge grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA).
Cumberland County has five Opportunity Zones located in Vineland, Millville, and Bridgeton. All three cities joined the county as municipal and strategic partners, along with NJ Community Capital, The Cumberland Empowerment Zone, and The Cumberland Development Corp. were involved in the process.

Earlier in the year, the Cumberland County Improvement Authority released an Opportunity Zone prospectus that it has been distributing to potential investors. The CCIA will use the grant funds to lead a digital marketing campaign with a new website directed toward investment opportunities in the zones, invest in business attraction software for microtargeting investors and companies, and to update Redevelopment Plans.
