Doing What Comes Naturally at the 13th Annual ECO Fair
Artful Living, Handmade & Homegrown will take center stage in New Jersey’s Heartland on Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. when WheatonArts and Cultural Center joins with the Cumberland County Improvement Authority to present the 13th Annual ECO Fair. In addition to showcasing hand-made works of art from New Jersey artisans and environmental groups, the day-long event will feature live music, family art events and the sale of a variety of plants and herbs by the Rutgers Master Gardeners.
CU Maurice River, New Jersey’s Heartland’s leading watershed organization, will present Keynote Speaker Pat Sutton, whose program is entitled, “It’s a Jungle Out There: LIFE & DEATH in the Wildlife Garden.” Sutton’s presentation will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the Event Center.
There will be a series of free family art activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., including Tree Ring Prints, Paper Beads, Leaf Prints on Fabric and your chance to create a Seed Bomb at the Ceramics Studio. If you like glass blowing, there will be a large-scale glass blowing demonstration and a class where you can blow a glass bubble (visit https://www.tfaforms.com/4732933 because space is limited and pre-registration is required).
