The South Jersey Holocaust Coalition presents an In-Person and Virtual presentation “FKBP5 Gene: Its Role in Some Holocaust Survivors, Their Offspring, & in Depression & Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.”
Although very scientific in its title, the everyday knowledge and possible applications prove very interesting in society today with so many dealing with these issues. The presenter is Dr. Don Marsh, a former graduate of Vineland High School and now an accomplished practitioner and speaker on this fascinating topic.
Dr. Marsh will discuss the KFBP5 gene, its identification in certain populations, specifically some Holocaust survivors and some of their offspring. Further discussion will focus on the gene’s potential role in depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). There are drugs currently being used and being developed to specifically block the activity of the FKBP5 gene.
Dr. Don Marsh, PharmD, BSc, MA and Consultant Pharmacist will present a second event on this topic.
Join us for this presentation and future presentations that the South Jersey Holocaust Coalition is proud to offer and always free.
