Drive Less and Ride the Pureland East-West Community Shuttle
Serving all Gloucester County residents
The Pureland East-West Community Shuttle is an affordable community-based public transportation service in Gloucester and Camden Counties. Since 2015, this convenient shuttle route has connected South Jersey residents with jobs and essential services, increasing their access to economic opportunity. Linking the Avandale Park & Ride with the Pureland Industrial Complex, the shuttle serves Williamstown, Glassboro, Mullica Hill, Swedesboro, and Logan Township. For only $1.00, the shuttle helps passengers get around the local area and includes connections to 11 NJ Transit routes with free ride transfers.
Operating Monday through Friday from 4:54am – 8:00pm, the Pureland East-West Community Shuttle provides access to major employers including Amazon and UPS, among over 100 other businesses located in the Pureland Industrial Complex. In 2019, over 50,000 passengers rode the community shuttle, 90 percent of whom use the shuttle to access their place of employment. The Pureland East-West Community Shuttle also provides direct access to essential businesses and services, from groceries to healthcare. For example, the route stops at the Williamstown ShopRite and serves Inspira Medical Center’s Mullica Hill facility. The community shuttle route is useful for students as well, with stops at Rowan University’s main campus.
With free transfers, shuttle passengers can access eleven NJ TRANSIT bus routes, which connect Gloucester County with destinations including Vineland, Millville, Bridgeton, the Jersey Shore and Philadelphia, PA. The shuttle also connects with the Pureland Internal Circulator, an on-demand route that will take passengers anywhere within the Pureland Industrial Complex’s boundaries.
Safety measures have been implemented to ensure shuttle passengers’ wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Select seats have been closed for social distancing purposes, masks are required to be worn on the shuttle, and the shuttle buses are regularly sanitized.
While the shuttle generally operates Monday through Friday, there is no shuttle service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
