From Arts & Crafts to Food & Wine and Fun for the Kids, there’s a world of great events, festivals, fairs and fitness events in New Jersey’s Heartland. Here is a listing of all of the upcoming events.
Music at Bunker Hill opens the new concert season with the creative and innovative string quartet ETHEL. Called “extraordinarily skilled, passionate musicians” by the NY Times and “…a breath of fresh air” by the Washington Post, these four classically trained musicians present their program, “Grace.” At the center of this inspiring program is ETHEL’s own adaptation of Ennio Morricone’s beautiful score to the 1986 film, “The Mission.” Continuing with the film’s theme of cross-cultural complexities and redemption, ETHEL presents the songs of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, a Hindu Kirtan spirit-play, and Zuni and Hawaiian ritual sun chants. The program concludes with the peace and clarity of 12th century German abbess Hildegard von Bingen.
ETHEL takes the listener on a journey toward redemption through music in the program, “Grace.” From strength in goodness through effortless beauty and unconditional favor, the program ends with a reprieve. ETHEL believes that during the stressful and challenging times of the present, music can and does provide relief, healing and understanding.

Founded in 2008, Music at Bunker Hill brings great performers to the heart of southern New Jersey, enhancing the cultural life of our community by preserving the tradition of classical music while exploring other musical genres. With outreach concerts in public schools, our artists inspire the next generation with their passion for the arts and standards of excellence.
Our goal is to make great music affordable, accessible, and appealing to as many people as possible.
We present performers who are also great communicators with audience members and students alike, in hopes that someone who knows nothing of the tradition of classical music can enjoy and appreciate their experience at Music at Bunker Hill in a new and memorable way.
We feature musicians with ties to southern New Jersey, promoting an awareness of the talents that have been nurtured in this community.
