From Arts & Crafts to Food & Wine and Fun for the Kids, there’s a world of great events, festivals, fairs and fitness events in New Jersey’s Heartland. Here is a listing of all of the upcoming events.
Help us in supporting our local community food banks from coast-to-coast. During the coronavirus pandemic, the majority of network food banks are reporting a record increase in number of people requesting food assistance. With many schools remaining closed for distance learning, there is even more stress to help ensure children, who normally eat free or reduced-price meals at school, continue to have access to healthy food. Millions of people are requesting help from food banks for the first time.
To support our community, Deptford Mall has partnered with South Jersey Dream Center to collect non-perishable food items. Donations are now being accepted through October 31st in Center Court and at Things Remembered.
*Bring your food items to Things Remembered & Receive 25% off your in-store purchase.
The most urgently-needed items include:
Canned vegetables & fruits, canned and boxed meals (i.e., soup, chili, stew, macaroni & cheese), canned or dried beans and peas (i.e., black, pinto, lentils), pasta, rice, low sugar cereals, peanut butter, baby formula & baby foods (check expiration dates), holiday foods (cranberry sauce, dry stuffing mix, cake mixes & frosting, etc.,instant mixes like potatoes, gravies and sauces that add a little something special to a holiday meal, canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon) that do not require refrigeration before opening, 100% fruit juice (canned, plastic or boxed).
If you’re unable to provide food items, we’re also accepting monetary donations on South Jersey Dream Center’s behalf.
