Does your child want to perform in a Musical this Fall?
Mr. Malcolm, the Director of our Children’s Theatre, has decided to put on a Fall Musical this year! Children aged 5-9 will be performing “Rapunzel” and children aged 10-17 will be performing “Hercules.” Rehearsals will run from 4:00PM – 6:00PM Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s. Registration will be limited, we will be accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up early to secure your child’s spot!
When: October 18, 2021 – November 19, 2021
(5 weeks: October 18, 20, 21, 25, 27, 28, Nov 1, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, 18, 19)
Children aged 5-9 will be performing “Rapunzel”
Rapunzel is held captive for years in a tower without any means to escape. Her captor, the old enchantress, is the only one who knows of her whereabouts and how to free her. Or is she? Come see who else knows the secret to reaching Rapunzel: “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair, so that I may climb the golden stair.” Join Rapunzel and her friends for this classic fairytale adventure!
Children aged 10-17 will be performing “Hercules”
Long ago the king and queen of the Olympians had a son named Hercules. He was full of superhuman strength, courage and intelligence. The amazing Hercules must use all of these traits, and the help of his friends, to stop Hades and his zany cronies as they try to take over Olympus! Join Hercules and his buddies for a royal battle!
Auditions:
To ensure a great start to our Fall Musical, we will be holding Auditions on the following days and times before the first night of rehearsal on Monday October 18, 2021:
October 16, 2021 from 12:00PM – 4:00PM (Rapunzel, Ages 5-9)
October 17, 2021 from 12:00PM – 4:00PM (Hercules, Ages 10-17)
Please attend the correct day for auditions. Mr. Malcolm guarantees everyone who signs up will have a named meaningful role in the production with at least 5 lines in the performance! 🙂
What song can you sing at auditions? Anything! Some suggestions:
A Broadway song of their choice
A pop song of their choice

Show Days:
The performances will be on Nov. 20 & Nov. 21, 2021 at 10AM, 1PM, & 4PM. Each child will perform not only once, but multiple! “Rapunzel” will perform at 10:00AM Saturday and Sunday. “Hercules” will perform at 1:00PM & 4:00PM on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will all be general admission seating. Tickets will be sold as a first-come, first-served basis. Ticket sales may be limited by the state of NJ department of health guidelines at the time of the performance. The theatre reserves the rights to cancel any performances for health or safety reasons.
Registration closes on October 11, 2021. We need to have this completed form in our hands before then. Return this completed application along with payment to the Broadway Theatre of Pitman, PO Box 118, Pitman, NJ 08071. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Service at 856.384.8381 Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. The physical address of the theatre (but not the mailing address) is 43 South Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071. All pages of this application must be submitted in its entirety. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Submit your application early to ensure availability for your child(ren). Payment for the Fall Musical is completely non-refundable for any reason whatsoever.
NOTE: Safety protocols will be adhered to. Social distancing will be in effect, masks must always be worn, and a temperature check will be taken at the door. Please do not bring your child to rehearsal if he/she is ill. Children who have a fever or are taking any medication for an illness should not attend rehearsal.
Payment to Mr. Malcolm’s Fall Musical is completely non-refundable for any reason whatsoever. If the state of New Jersey allows theatres to remain open with limited capacity, social distancing, and CDC guidelines and restrictions, this activity will go on as scheduled. There is a limited number of applications we are accepting, we will be accepting them as a first-come, first-served basis.
