Plum Bun
The Department of Theatre & Dance at Rowan University opens the 21|22 mainstage season with a stage adaptation of Jessie Redmon Fauset’s 1928 Harlem Renaissance novel which tells the coming-of-age story of Angela Murray, a young, light-skinned Black woman who leaves behind her past and passes as white to attain fulfillment in life. Her experience takes her on an unexpected journey where she must confront self-acceptance and the true racial landscape of America.
Tickets are $15 and $10. Tickets for Rowan students are free with valid ID. Content Warning: This production contains offensive negative racial language and undertones.
