From Arts & Crafts to Food & Wine and Fun for the Kids, there’s a world of great events, festivals, fairs and fitness events in New Jersey’s Heartland. Here is a listing of all of the upcoming events.
Our in-person summer reading activities for children are all held on Thursdays from 1-2pm. On August 5th, our hometown heroes are back! This time, they will be bringing various service vehicles for demonstration: expect to see vehicles such as a firetruck, police car, and an ambulance. Children can meet their local heroes and learn about the hard work they do every day to keep us safe. From August 12th-August 20th, children can pick up free Shrinky Dink craft kits from the library to make their own plastic charms or decorative objects. Each kit will include instructions, two sheets of shrinky dink plastic, a sheet of example templates, and two keychain rings. On August 19th families are invited to join us at the Cohanzick Zoo, where Zookeeper Alison will read stories with her animal friends as we explore exhibits throughout the day and wrap up with a complimentary lunch at one of the Zoo pavilions. Pre-registration is required for this program and is open until July 30th, as space is limited and families must be selected by random lottery. For more information about any of these programs, or to register for our zoo trip, please visit us at 210 Buck Street in Millville New Jersey or give us a call at 856.825.7087 ext. 12.
