Come join us for a great day of Plum picking this weekend at Hill Creek Farms. Take a hayride to the back orchard where you can pick from 3 types of plums.

Fortune Plum – Large attractive bright red with yellow plum. Firm flavorful, semi freestone and a very nice desert plum. Very juicy when allowed to sit out and ripen fully, but can be eaten firm.
Ruby Red Plum – Ruby is a Japanese hybrid plum, sweet and juicy, red flesh. Medium size and free stone. Can be eaten firm or fully ripen. Deliciously sweet
Victory Plum – dark blue small to medium size plum. Yellow flesh, very sweet and flavorful. Free stone and kids just love them! This plum often referred to as “The Italian plum”. One of Hill Creek Farms favorites!

In addition to plums, we will be U-picking vegetables (Eggplant, 5 types of pepper and Super sweet cherry tomatoes).

We may even be releasing our Gala apples for harvest this weekend, they are a week ahead of last year and appear to be ready for harvest. One of our sweetest apples, the Gala if a very hard sweet apple, thin skin and wonderful for fresh eating and baking. Perfect size for kids to eat (small to medium in size)

To help make the day fun, Besides the hayride and u-picking, we will be bring in a large moon bounce for the kids ($4), our Barrel Train rides thru the Orchards ($4), our Mining Company ($per bag) and of course the free playground for the kids to enjoy.

And don’t forget about the “Loft eatery”, our bakery and those cider donuts, our café bar and wine for the adults!
