SUMMARY:Into the Woods at Levoy Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Into the Woods at Levoy Theatre \nJanuary 13\, 2022 @7pm \nTriple Threat Workshop Presents: Into the Woods \nMusic and Lyrics by STEPHEN SONDHEIM\nBook by JAMES LAPINE\nOriginally Directed on Broadway by James Lapine\nOrchestrations by Jonathan Tunick \nInto the Woods follows a host of fairytale characters pursuing their happily ever after: A Baker and his wife\, who wish to have a child; Cinderella\, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack\, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse\, the two set off on a journey to break the enchantment. Each must learn the responsibility of wishes that come true\, the consequences of choices made in each passing moment\, and ultimately the stories we choose to tell our children. \nJames Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning musical brings everyone’s favorite storybook characters together in a timeless-yet-relevant piece\, making for a rare modern classic. Filled with the music we love\, the stories we’ve known… or perhaps the ones we thought we knew. Presented in the round with limited seating\, Triple Threat Workshop’s witty reinvention of this musical favorite is sure to be a magical trip “into the woods\, and out of the woods\, and home before dark!” \nInto the Woods is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com

SUMMARY:The Bell Bottom Blues - Clapton Tribute Band
DESCRIPTION:The Bell Bottom Blues – Clapton Tribute Band \nJanuary 7\, 2023 8:00 PM | Levoy Theatre \nThe Bell Bottom Blues was formed in 2007 with the vision of providing an audience with a true Eric Clapton Experience. Through its evolution\, the band has been carefully constructed to create the essence of the Clapton sound\, from his guitar arrangements to his distinctive vocal sound. This is what separates The Bell Bottom Blues from all others and makes us unique in the market. We have been told time and time again by our audiences and fans that “they close their eyes during a show and could swear that they were actually at a Clapton concert”. This is what we actually set out to achieve. \nThrough each band member’s dedication\, professionalism\, and hard work\, we have captured the sound and essence of the master himself through his various stages\, from Cream\, the Dominoes\, and through his entire solo career. Our EC has captured his guitar styling and\, more importantly\, his exact vocal sound\, which allows us to truly pay tribute to this rock and blues icon. \nOnce again\, our goal is to perform and allow our audiences to really feel like they are participating in an actual EC live event. There is no better satisfaction for us than seeing this actually occur and knowing we have achieved our goal. \nClick HERE to get your tickets!

SUMMARY:Doug Church: The True Voice of Elvis
DESCRIPTION:Doug Church: The True Voice of Elvis \nFirst Ladies of Rock & Soul \nDecember 30th at 8PM\, December 31st at 4PM\, and January 1st at 2PM \nBroadway Theatre of Pitman \nDid you know we have a three show New Years Eve spectacular with the First Ladies of Rock & Soul and Doug Church performing Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii?! You’ll get to experience not just one\, but both bands on the same night for one price! Check out more information on both bands below! \nOpening for Doug Church: The First Ladies or Rock & Soul is an assembly of seasoned singers and musicians in tribute to the songs of the “Girl Group” era and More. This genre created one of pop music’s most enduring and enjoyable trends. These timeless songs have captivated audiences for generations through radio\, TV\, movies\, and theater. \nThe highest detail has been made to re-create a “Note-for-Note” presentation of these treasured recordings. There is no prerecorded or taped music – all music and vocals are performed live. The First Ladies of Rock & Soul will take you back to an era of simple fun and musical joy. Come dance\, reminisce\, and have some good old-fashioned fun while you experience the re-creation of these timeless “gems” as performed by The Supremes\, Ronettes\, Shirelles\, Chiffons\, Crystals\, Vandellas\, Mary Wells\, Aretha Franklin\, Dionne Warwick\, and more!!! \nAfter The First Ladies of Rock & Soul the infamous Doug Church will take the stage! Doug began his career in the US Air Force\, brandishing a guitar and homemade costume\, where he began winning talent contests held annually by the Air Force with his amazing rendition of the King of Rock n Roll. He won 11 First Place trophies in just 4 years of competitions in multiple categories such as Male Vocalist\, Comedian\, and even master of Ceremonies. \nShortly after leaving the service\, he entered the Worldwide Elvis Impersonators contest at Bad Bob’s Vapor’s in Memphis Tennessee\, walking away with the First Place Crown as\, “The World’s Best Elvis Tribute Artist”. \nSubsequently\, after a successful audition\, he joined the famous Las Vegas tribute show “Legends in Concert” and worked with them for 7 years “The King”\, performing in such sundry locations as The Bahamas\, Puerto Rico\, Jamaica\, The Virgin Islands\, Aruba\, Bangkok\, Hong Kong\, Moscow\, and many U.S. and Canadian locations! Afterward\, he began touring the US and the world\, with his own shows. \nHe has awed his audiences for years\, leaving them totally mesmerized and shaken\, by one of those voices in particular- that of Elvis Presley… Doug’s voice has been acknowledged by fellow ETA’s as being the closest to “The Kings”. \nDoug travels extensively throughout the world as well as the US and Canada\, performing with his band\, “Kentucky Reign”. He also performs with backing tracks or with full symphony/pops orchestras. He is known worldwide as “The TRUE Voice of Elvis” by not only his fans and other ETA’s\, but by those who knew Elvis personally\, and is regarded as an Icon in the industry. \nYou won’t want to miss this event! Tito Puente Jr. carries his father with him – imprinted on his physical being and locked in his soul. It’s in his looks\, his joy\, and his music. \nTito\, Jr. is on a passionate mission. The younger Puente is determined to nurture the musical legacy left by his father. He refuses to let his father become a distant memory. “He was just too vibrant\, too exciting. There was magic in the music my father made. It made people happy all over the world. ”He has found captive audiences who echo his passion. Crowds lured to a venue by the father are returning to see the son — and to once again participate in the high voltage celebration that takes place on stage. Tito Puente\, Jr. has become an audience favorite in casinos\, performing arts centers\, symphony halls and jazz festivals worldwide\, performing more than 300 shows over the past 5 years. His 2004 album\, “In My Father’s Shoes” featured the classic Puente titles and was spun into a BET Jazz television special of the same name \nHe was seen in a tribute to his father’s music on NBC’s two hour special–“The Apollo at 70: A Hot Night in Harlem.” He has also appeared on the ABC soap opera hit “One Life to Live” in performance with his big band.

Symphony appearances include Dallas\, San Antonio\, Colorado\, South Bend\, and upcoming performances with the Palm Desert Symphony and the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marvin Hamlisch \nTito\, Jr.’s new CD release\, “Got Mambo?” is a mixture of the old and the new as he takes a musical departure into some powerful new music he can truly call his own. Guest artists Bobby Cruz and Hansel & Raul help make this a coming of age project for Puente\, Jr. and the album is receiving heavy praise from Tropical and Latin Jazz critics alike. \nTito Jr. reveres the magnificent\, lasting impact his father had on our musical lives. “People who don’t know anything about Latin music know my father and people always\, always smile when they say my father’s name\,” he confides. “That is a very special gift I have been given.” \n
