DESCRIPTION:Main Street Vineland’s signature fundraising event\, its A Taste of Vineland & Volunteer Recognition Event\, will return on Wednesday\, October 24\, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Greenview Inn at Eastlyn Golf Course. 4049 Italia Ave.\, Vineland. \nThe major sponsor for this event\, now in its eighth year\, is Century Savings Bank. \nVineland’s finest restaurants will be offering a vast array of delicious foods—main courses\, appetizers\, and desserts—at this event\, which will also include a fabulous silent auction and much more. \nMain Street Vineland will also recognize those of its volunteers who have contributed greatly to the work of the organization. Dennis Ingraldi\, longtime member of the Main Street Vineland Board of Directors\, and Andre Rivera\, a volunteer who been active in several Main Street Vineland initiatives\, will receive Main Street Vineland’s “Volunteer of the Year” Award. Ingraldi is being recognized for his years of dedication and Main Street Vineland Board of Directors\, of which he is the Vice-Chairperson and former Corresponding Secretary/Treasurer. Rivera is being recognized for his leadership in helping to organize several upcoming initiatives—including a downtown Walking Trail and a 5K run. \nTickets are $40 and are on sale now\, and proceeds will go toward downtown beautification\, business recruitment and development\, and events. DESCRIPTION:See world-famous 3D chalk artist Anthony Cappetto create right on the sidewalk and then enjoy an afternoon of great music—all on the 600 block of Landis Avenue in Vineland—on Saturday\, October 13. \nThe event\, free and open to the public\, is organized by Main Street Vineland\, with funding in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State and the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders through the Cumberland County Cultural and Heritage Commission. \nStarting at 10 a.m.\, Cappetto\, of Art for After Hours of Astoria\, NY\, will create 3D chalk art on the sidewalk in front of Landis MarketPlace\, 631 E. Landis Avenue. This presentation\, will culminate at 2 p.m. with a dedication of the art work and remarks by the artist. \n3D and 4D artwork gives the effect of an addition dimension of depth to a picture\, captured by the use of special eyeglasses. Cappetto has created such artwork in sites throughout the United States and abroad and is one of the noted specialists in the genre.
