SUMMARY:COVID-19 Relief Bills - FREE Webinar March 31
DESCRIPTION:Federal Coronavirus Relief Bills: What Do They Mean for Nonprofits? \nIn rapid succession over the last two weeks\, Congress passed and the President signed two far-reaching pieces of legislation designed to provide relief to the American people and businesses – including non-profits. Included in the provisions of these bills are major victories for nonprofits\, operational relief\, and new obligations. \nOn Tuesday\, March 31 at 3:30 pm Eastern\, the networks of the National Council of Nonprofits (which includes the Center for Non-Profits) will host a national presentation to help all in the charitable community understand what various provisions of the two laws mean for non-profits. \nRegister Here \nThe Families First Coronavirus Response Act created new workplace obligations for employers and expanded supports for individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Eight days later\, the Coronavirus Aid\, Relief\, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) authorized more than $2 trillion in spending to inject cash into the economy\, businesses\, and non-profits. There is a great deal to unpack: \n\nMandated paid sick and family leave and refundable payroll tax credits\nGenerous loan funds for small (< 500 employees) and mid-size (between 500 and 10\,000 employees) non-profit employers; which program is best for your organization?\nLimited above-the-line or universal charitable deduction available for 2020\nEmployee retention refundable tax credit\nExpanded unemployment and enhanced funding for social support programs\n\nThis webinar will share the latest analysis and information for charitable nonprofits\, recognizing that multiple federal agencies must write the rules and forms and establish processes for getting money into the hands of nonprofits as quickly as possible. \nThe webinar will be recorded and the recording will be made available.

SUMMARY:The PettyBreakers- Tribute to Tom Petty
DESCRIPTION:“The World’s Greatest Tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers!” So say Katie Daryl\, Mark Cuban and Ryan Seacrest of AXS-TV as they selected the PettyBreakers to perform on their hit TV show in 2014. \nWhat started out in 2010 as a regional band is now the Nations’s #1 touring tribute to Tom Petty\, having played in 22 states and Washington D.C. with more being added constantly. Some of The PettyBreakers’  highlights so far includes performing at the Naval Yard in Washington D.C. in 2018 for Major League Baseball’s Allstars Pregame Celebration and a four and half month residency in the Sammy Davis Showroom at Harrah’s Casino in Reno in 2017. Perhaps the biggest highlight was being selected in 2014 as “The World’s Greatest Tribute to Tom Petty” by AXS-TV. The PettyBreakers performed a live show at the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood to a capacity crowd\, which was cablecast on AXS-TV. The band looks forward to celebrating their 10th anniversary next year with fans all across the US.

SUMMARY:The Irish Comedy Tour
DESCRIPTION:The Irish Comedy Tour takes the party atmosphere of a Dublin pub and combines it with a boisterous\, belly-laugh band of hooligans. \nThe clover — make that clever — comedians\, whose ancestors hail from the Emerald Isle\, include Detroit native Derek Richards; Boston-born Mike McCarthy; Nova Scotia’s Damon Leibert; and from Inchicore\, a suburb of Dublin\, Ireland Derrick Keane. \nAudiences howl at Richards’ tales about his mom’s dog\, the holidays and dating a stripper. He has appeared on The Bob & Tom Show\, XM and Sirius\, and The Weather Channel’s Top 10. \nMcCarthy’s no-holds-barred humor has landed him on Comedy Central and Showtime. The “comedy barbarian\,” as he calls himself\, takes no prisoners when it comes to poking fun at society’s most sensitive topics. \nLeibert’s unique and energetic style of fiddle playing lies somewhere between the driving dance beat of Cape Breton\, and the lyrical music of Ireland. His power packed performance adds an incredible dimension to the show. \nAnd finally Keane\, originally from Inchicore\, Derrick first distinguished himself musically when the duo in which he sang and played swept the All Ireland Talent Competition. His band\, Inchicore\, sets the gold standard for the Irish music scene in New England and across North America. \nDon’t miss these hilarious Irish American comedians as they tear apart as well as validate all of the Irish myths and stereotypes.

SUMMARY:On a Winter’s Night
DESCRIPTION:Presenting the 25th Anniversary concerts of “On A Winter’s Night” from veteran singer-songwriters Christine Lavin\, John Gorka\, Patty Larkin\, Cheryl Wheeler and Cliff Eberhardt. These are among the brightest stars of the singer/songwriter movement for the past three decades. In 1994 Christine Lavin gathered them together\, along with folk and Americana artists to showcase music of the Winter Season on the now classic On A Winter’s Night CD\, followed by several years of touring collaborations. These artists have released dozens of recordings and toured steadily through the decades\, with fond memories of their touring days together. Now in 2019-2020\, the winter season is again celebrated by these unique and popular performers\, back together by popular demand. Available touring times November 2019 and March 2020.

SUMMARY:The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
DESCRIPTION:An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives\, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words\, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing\, pout-inducing\, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
