SUMMARY:
DESCRIPTION:MAIN STREET VINELAND PLANS\nSCARECROW CONTEST AND PUMPKIN PATCH PARTY IN DOWNTOWN VINELAND \n“Scarecrow Challenge” Event Partnership with Vineland Board of Education\nPumpkin Patch Party at Mini-Parks on October 29 \nVINELAND\, NJ—Main Street Vineland is planning two downtown major events for the Halloween season—a month-long Scarecrow Challenge contest and a Pumpkin Patch Party on Saturday\, October 29. \nThe Scarecrow Challenge is being organized in partnership with the Vineland Board of Education. All Vineland public and private schools\, as well as local clubs and organizations are invited to design scarecrows. The scarecrows\, situated on frames made available through the Board of Education\, will be mounted on downtown lampposts on Landis Avenue. Some lampposts will be decorated with corn stalks. \nThose interested in entering a scarecrow can contact the Main Street Vineland office. The deadline for entering scarecrows will be October 7 and they will go up on October 17. For more information on entering a scarecrow\, call the Main Street Vineland office at (856) 794-8653. To order a frame\, contact Ross Stanger\, the Vineland Board of Education’s supervisor of instruction\, at (856) 794-6700\, ext. 2016 or at rstanger@vineland.org. \nThe public can vote for the best scarecrow by going to the link on the Main Street Vineland website—www.mainstreetvineland.org—or you can vote by paper ballot in selected downtown Vineland stores. Voting will end at midnight on Thursday\, October 27. \n“We want this to be a real community event—school students and adults from community groups—to bring fall cheer to our downtown\,” said Main Street Vineland Executive Director Russell Swanson. “I want to thank Ross Stanger and the Vineland Board of Education for being a strong partner in this and really playing a major part in making this happen.” \nThe winning scarecrow will be announced at the Pumpkin Patch Party\, which is set for Saturday\, October 29\, from 11 to 1 p.m. The mini-parks\, at Landis Avenue and the Boulevard\, will be decorated for fall\, with hay bales\, pumpkins\, corn stalks\, and mums. The party will include a variety of fun seasonal games\, pumpkin-painting and pumpkin seed spitting contests\, exercise classes\, through the Vineland Health Department\, a DJ\, and much more. The winner of the Scarecrow Challenge and the two runner-ups will be announced and they will receive prizes. \n“This is yet another way in which we\, as a community\, are making our downtown a focal point for our city and making our mini-parks the kind of center of activity for which they were created\,” Swanson said. “It is all part of Vineland Pride. Whether you want to enter a scarecrow\, vote for your favorite\, and/or come out for the Pumpkin Patch Party\, your participation will help make our downtown the best it can be.” \nFor more information for this and all Main Street Vineland events\, call the Main Street Vineland office at (856) 794-8653\, visit the organization’s website at www.mainstreetvineland.org\, or visit it on Facebook.

SUMMARY:LAUNCH NEW DOWNTOWN BRAND AT GALA
DESCRIPTION:MAIN STREET VINELAND\nTO LAUNCH NEW DOWNTOWN BRAND AT GALA EVENT ON OCTOBER 20 \nHigh Energy Multi-Media Event at Landis Theater To Be Formal Launch\nOf Rebranding of Downtown Vineland for the Future \nVINELAND\, NJ—Main Street Vineland will be formally launching the rebranding of downtown Vineland for the future at a gala launching party on Thursday\, October 20\, at the Landis Theater\, 830 E. Landis Ave. \nThis free event\, which will begin at 5:30 p.m.\, will be a high-energy\, high-impact event which will result in a new logo and new image for Landis Avenue and the downtown. The major sponsor for the event is Premier Orthopaedic Associates\, with Capital Bank of New Jersey as the Reception and Networking Sponsor. \nSoon after the formal launch\, the new logo and brand will appear on new banners\, signs on both ends of the downtown\, on a new sculpture to be designed\, new letterhead\, business cards\, a newly-designed website\, and other items. \n“The branding party is to reflect the journey from the downtown Vineland of long ago to that of the present and future\,” said Main Street Vineland Executive Director Russell Swanson. “We will be taking people on that journey during the presentation at the Landis Theater. It will retrace our downtown’s heritage and point the way to the great future in store for the next generation.” \nThe event will begin with a social hour including hors d’oeuvres\, a cash bar in the theater lobby\, and an opportunity to network. Catering will be by Mauro’s on the Ave—downtown Vineland’s newest restaurant—located next to the theater. \nThe program will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a multimedia film and theatrical depiction of the journey—past\, present\, and future—to the new brand. The new logo will be unveiled at that time. \nSwag bags featuring the new logo\, will be given to all in attendance and will contain specials from downtown merchants\, as well as other items featuring the new logo. \n“The rebranding is one of the biggest initiatives we have had in our downtown in many years and we want a packed house at our branding party\, so they can all join us in the journey together\,” Swanson said. “It will be an exciting\, powerful beginning of our branding campaign.” \nThe rebranding initiative began in July of 2015\, as Main Street Vineland became the first of two Main Street districts in the state to be awarded a Branding & Digital Design Grant by Main Street New Jersey. The grant covered $30\,000 in services with branding and design work done in consultation with Glerin Business Resources\, Inc.\, of Halifax\, VA\,–a consultant contracted through the Main Street New Jersey program of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA). \n“We’re excited to have reached this point in our work. More changes are to come and we want you to share in the celebration\,” Swanson said. \nFor more information for this and all Main Street Vineland events\, call the Main Street Vineland office at (856) 794-8653\, visit the organization’s website at www.mainstreetvineland.org\, or visit it on Facebook.

SUMMARY:REAL ESTATE BROKERS\, AGENTS\, AND INVESTORS
DESCRIPTION:THIRD TOUR OF AVAILABLE DOWNTOWN PROPERTIES\nFOR REAL ESTATE BROKERS\, AGENTS\, AND INVESTORS FOR OCTOBER 19 \nPart of Aggressive Plan to Re-Brand Downtown for the Future. \nVINELAND\, NJ—As part of an ongoing aggressive plan to re-brand downtown Vineland for the future\, Main Street Vineland is inviting area real estate brokers\, agents\, and investors to tour available retail\, office\, and other properties along downtown Landis Avenue in Vineland on Wednesday\, October 19. \nThis tour\, which is sponsored by Coldwell Banker Excel Realty\, Finance of America Mortgage\, LLC\, and Landis Title Corporation\, will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. It will start at the Main Street Vineland office\, 603 E. Landis Ave.\, at 12 p.m. for lunch and an overview by Main Street Vineland Executive Director Russell Swanson of the vision for the downtown and the incentives that can be offered. The tour will follow\, as those participating will be shuttled to each property. Property owners are being requested to have fact-sheets ready for the brokers\, agents\, and investors at the time of the visit. A wine-and-cheese reception and networking opportunity at the Main Street office will take place after the tour for the tour participants and Main Street Vineland representatives. \nInterested brokers\, agents\, and investors need to contact the Main Street Vineland office by calling (856) 794-8653 or e-mailing mainstreet@vinelandcity.org. \nThe past two broker tours was very successful\, Swanson said\, with several properties shown being rented\, that another tour to show available properties seemed a natural. \n“We have several available properties in various sizes\,” Swanson said. “Brokers and agents can learn how prospective clients can benefit by purchasing or leasing prime downtown spots. Whether the client needs office space\, or dreams of opening up a new boutique store\, micro-brewery\, or coffee shop the locations are ideal.” \nSwanson wants to fill these properties with quality\, sustainable businesses and\, at the same time\, attract a new generation of business owners and customers to downtown. \n“The need to attract new business people and residents to our downtown and to add them to our downtown business mix is essential\,” Main Street Vineland Business Development Director Robert Scarpa said. “Whether they are baby boomers\, millennials\, Gen X\, Gen Y\, or another age group\, we want to attract the entrepreneurs and customers of today and the future. They know the new business models such as pop-up stores\, business incubators\, makerspace\, and hackerspace. Young business leaders are very excited about our downtown and establishing themselves here. This broker/agents/investors tour is an ongoing part of matching available properties with potential business owners. The future is now and I am excited about looking ahead to fulfilling our vision for our downtown.” \nFor more information on all Main Street Vineland programs and events\, visit the organization’s website at www.mainstreetvineland.org or visit it on Facebook.
