SUMMARY:KICK - The INXS Experience
DESCRIPTION:KICK – The INXS Experience $30 \nThe Landis Theater\nApril 16\, 2022 8:00 PM\nDoors Open: 7:00 PM \nKICK- The INXS Experience is officially endorsed by Tina Hutchence\, author and sister of the late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence. \nFormed in 2014\, two years after INXS stopped touring\, KICK – The INXS Experience has beautifully managed to capture the spirit of INXS in both its sound and live performance\, bringing the highest level of musicianship to the audience while showing a true passion for the music of INXS. Vocalist\, guitarist\, and singer-songwriter Cory Massi is the founding frontman of KICK\, and has long held a respect and admiration for the late great Michael Hutchence. Massi even auditioned for the reality TV show\, Rockstar: INXS\, in 2004\, where contestants competed to become the new lead vocalist for INXS. \nKICK has garnered the attention\, admiration\, and accolades of well-seasoned “ears” in the music industry. Radio personalities in several markets have been quick to offer praise; WZXL / Atlantic City program director Steve Raymond\, a longtime fan of INXS\, raved after listening to only part of one song\, “Wow! These guys have got the vibe down. Really impressive!” 107.1 The BOSS (WWZY)’s midday air personality Michele Amabile concurred\, “I had to go back and listen again with my eyes closed…. I could have sworn I was hearing Michael Hutchence!” \nSounding like legendary frontman Michael Hutchence is no easy task. “I guess the hardest thing\, the most challenging thing when I started KICK\,” acknowledges Massi\, “was capturing the great variety in Hutchence’s voice. He can sound sensitive and soft and he can be super strong and really belt it out and sometimes that all happens within one phrase or even a word. It took a lot of self-control to capture how he projects his lyrics and the music. It’s impossible to really sound and look like him; he’s an Adonis\, another Jim Morrison\, Morrison in a pop sense. I can’t mimic that; all I can do is do my best to capture his spirit.” \nThe focus has been on faithfully recreating the music in its most powerful sense; an in-the-pocket bottom end from bass player Don Leslie and drummer Gary Forbes\, a brilliant combination of piano and synth by John Cassidy\, the signature guitar tones produced by guitarist Todd King and Jason Taylor\, the saxophone by Jaared Arosemena\, and the spot-on lead vocals by Cory Massi\, all lend to a powerful high-energy show. \nKICK – The INXS Experience will take you back. They will reignite your passion for INXS. They will re-introduce you to music that is still as fresh today as the day it was written; from “Original Sin” to “Elegantly Wasted” and everything in between\, including (but not limited to) “Need You Tonight\,” “New Sensation\,” “What You Need\,” “Don’t Change\,” “Listen Like Thieves\,” “The One Thing\,” “Bitter Tears\,” “Suicide Blonde\,” “Not Enough Time\,” “Beautiful Girl\,” and “Devil Inside.”

SUMMARY:The Everly Brothers Experience featuring the Zmed Brothers
DESCRIPTION:The Everly Brothers Experience featuring the Zmed Brothers\nSaturday\, April 9\, 2022 @7pm \nSince 2016\, brothers Zachary and Dylan Zmed along with their partner and drummer Burleigh Drummond\, have celebrated the pivotal music and history of The Everly Brothers legacy with enthusiastic crowds all across the US and overseas in prestigious venues. They say\, “ The music of the 50’s and 60’s are nostalgic for us\, our parents raised us all on it\, and we feel that the Everly’s contribution is greatly overlooked\, especially by younger generations. Our aim is not to impersonate but to do our best in honoring the aesthetics of their iconic sound and in honoring the important role they played in pioneering the rock n’ roll movement\, all while having a little fun sharing our own personal story\,” and they do just that. With a father\, (Adrian Zmed) as a traveling singer/dancer/actor (Grease 2\, Bachelor Party\, T.J. Hooker)\, and a mother (Barbara) as a second grade teacher in a suburb of Los Angeles\, the Zmed Brothers continuously strive to pay homage to their personal roots by always infusing an instinctual blend of entertainment (a la Smothers Brothers) and contextual education in their performance.\nThe Everly brothers career lasted over half a century\, they recorded 21 studio albums\, sold more than 60 million records worldwide\, had over 30 billboard top -100 singles\, which still to this day is the record for most billboard charting hits of any sibling rock duo ever\, they received numerous accolades in their later career\, and influenced countless legendary artist that came after them including The Beatles\, Simon and Garfunkel\, The Beach Boys\, The Rolling Stones\, Bob Dylan\, The Bee Gees\, Neil Young..and the list goes on. THE ZMED BROTHERS are absolutely thrilled to be able to contribute to a cause that supports the recognition and preservation of the intimate and singular origins of America’s greatest Rock n’ Roll singing sibling duo. \nThe 5 piece band consists of drums (Burleigh Drummond)\, electric guitar (rotating members)\, bass (rotating members)\, and the two singing brothers (Zachary and Dylan Zmed) up front with the signature Everly acoustic guitars. \nArtist Website: http://theeverlybrothersexperience.com/

SUMMARY:A Brother’s Revival at The Levoy Theatre
DESCRIPTION:A Brother’s Revival\nFormer members of the Allman Brothers Band and Dickie Betts & Great Southern \nApril 8\, 2022 @8:00pm \nTo bring the music of The Allman Brothers Band to life 50 years after Duane Allman formed the original band\, a former member of the Allman Brothers\, David “Rook” Goldflies (78-82)\, launched “A Brother’s Revival” to honor and do justice to the music of that legendary group. Wherever the band performs\, they energize fans with performances that bring out the essence of what made the music of the Allman Brothers Band so lasting and powerful. No detail was left out to achieve an authentic performance of the music of the Allman Brothers. Groundbreaking double leads\, dual drummers\, a rock-n-roll Timpani solo\, and yes\, even a real B-3 organ make this show authentic and exciting. The band has had standing ovations at every show they have played. These guys aren’t messin’ around! \nDuring A Brother’s Revival’s two-and-a-half-hour show\, they play all of the fan favorites\, including Ramblin Man\, Melissa\, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed\, Southbound\, Whipping Post\, Blue Sky\, One Way Out\, Soulshine\, Revival\, and others. \nA Brothers Revival is unique in that the group has a musical director who recorded and toured with the Allman Brothers Band. David “Rook” Goldflies played in the Allman Brothers night after night on the road. His presence in A Brothers Revival gives the group a solid foundation to realize the full potential of the Allman Brothers’ powerful performances. \nAnother southern rock veteran\, Mike Kach\, is A Brothers Revival vocalist and keyboardist. Mike has toured with Dickey Betts in his band Dickey Betts and Great Southern for 12 years and was Dickey’s choice to sing the songs initially sung by Gregg Allman. \nIf you love the music of The Allman Brothers Band\, you will be amazed how A Brother’s Revival has recreated the energy\, vibe\, and passion when performing this iconic music.

SUMMARY:Lonestar at The Levoy Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Lonestar \nApril 3 7:00 pm $39-$59 plus fees \nNot every musician has the opportunity to revisit and even potentially improve upon their biggest hits. But on the forthcoming TEN to 1 record\, the award-winning band Lonestar—\nDean Sams (keyboards\, acoustic guitar\, background vocals)\, Michael Britt (lead guitarist\,\nbackground vocals )\, Keech Rainwater (drums) and Drew Womack (lead vocals\, guitar)—are\ntaking a fresh look at all 10 of their chart-topping country songs. \nThis streak started in 1996 with the band’s second single\, the rock-edged “No News\,”\nand continued with the following year’s “Come Cryin’ to Me” and “Everything’s Changed.” The band’s quadruple-platinum 1999 album Lonely Grill spawned four No. 1 hits (including the beloved global smash “Amazed”) and established Lonestar as music’s preeminent pop-country band—a status they’d maintain through the 2000s and beyond. \nWith these re-recordings\, the band members were mindful of striking a balance between preserving the sonic elements fans were familiar with—and not repeating them. Fittingly\, TEN to 1 record reflects the ways Lonestar‘s hits have evolved over the years during the band’s rousing\, high-energy concerts. Such talent has contributed to the band winning many of music’s top honors\, including Academy Of Country Music awards for New Vocal Group in 1996\, Single and Song Of The Year in 2000\, along with Humanitarian Of The Year in 2002. They also won Country Music Association’s Vocal Group of the Year and International Artist Achievement award in 2001. All told\, Lonestar have sold more than 10.5 million records since their formation. \nWith the release of TEN to 1 record\, the band members are full of gratitude for what they’ve accomplished already\, and excited about what the future holds. “It’s amazing that we’re still standing and putting on great shows after all these years\,” Sams says. “The fans are still coming out to our shows night after night\, to see us and hear our music. That’s almost 30 years of touring\, and I can’t tell you how grateful I am—and I’ve never once taken it for granted.” \n(Artist) Website: https://www.lonestarnow.com/

SUMMARY:In the Light of Led Zeppelin
DESCRIPTION:In the Light of Led Zeppelin\nSaturday\, April 2\, 2022 @8pm\nTime: 8:00pm \n“It’s not a tribute\, it’s an experience!” is the reaction from fans all over the world. From start to finish\, it’s a musical journey through the best of Zeppelin classics\, to the symphonic orchestrations of Page & Plant\, and some of the greatest hits of both Robert Plant and Jimmy Page’s solo work\, all performed by 7 piece supergroup of Grammy-nominated men and women. \nInspired by the musical evolution of both Jimmy Page & Robert Plant\, Antonio Bolet\, the musical director and lead guitarist of In The Light of Led Zeppelin\, had the vision to create something new\, give audiences what they wanted to hear\, give them a new way to hear it and then give them something they had never heard before. The production is a musical interpretation\, using masterful artistry\, with technical note placement carefully designed for the listener to feel the music and experience it as new. \nA genre-bending\, chance-taking project\, the music is performed with the same detail of Page & Plant using authentic instrumentation. This extraordinary\, highly refined tribute ensemble digs deeper into the Middle Eastern and classical influences that permeated “Kashmir” — and then follows that intriguing thread into brand-new sounds when performing Led Zeppelin classics\, providing a unique\, not-to-be-missed musical experience. \nDoes the surname “Bolet” Sound familiar? To connoisseurs of pianism\, the name of Jorge Bolet (1914-1990) is legendary. Cuban-born\, his career blossomed only later in his life. His technique was flawless\, his lyrical tone was legendary\, he was the undisputed master of interpretation of Liszt and naturally passed on his technique to his nephew Antonio Bolet. \nIt’s an intriguing two hour adventure bringing you from past to future with the excitement you felt on hearing it for the first time. There is no other tribute experience like In The Light of Led Zeppelin. \nArtist Website: https://www.inthelightledzeppelin.com/
