Get Involved! Give Back at the Family Day of Service!
The Annual Family Day of Service a great way to get your family involved in your community. There are hundreds of service opportunities available during this wonderful weekend of giving and volunteerism. This year’s Family Day of Service is on May 18 through May 20, 2018.
In its fifth year, the Family Day of Service is a weekend-long event where families join together to participate in meaningful volunteer projects. Adults, children and students are given the opportunity to serve alongside one another while giving back to their local community. This event, which is organized by the Family Strengthening Network and Volunteer Center of South Jersey, is a great way to get kids of all ages involved in giving back to their community. Volunteering is a fantastic resume builder for high school students thinking about applying for college, too! It’s never too early to teach altruism and the Family Day of Service makes it easy and fun! Simply visit www.familydayofservice.org and find a service opportunity in your area. Click on the event to get more information and sign up for a service project that interests you. Specific volunteer information and shift times are available for each project.
Nothing feels as good as serving others! Get involved in the Family Day of Service and make a difference in someone else’s day… it will surely make a difference in yours!
