Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Cocoa and Colors Kicks Off the Holiday Season
The holiday season is the most wonderful time of year to spend time with friends – and the County’ s popular Cocoa and Colors is a special way to start the celebrations.
Cocoa and Colors, an evening of dinner, music, and painting hosted by the Salem County Office on Aging & Disabilities, will be held on two dates in early December. Residents can choose either Monday, December 2nd OR Thursday, December 5th. The event is free to Salem County seniors “60 and better” and those with disabilities of any age.
Cocoa and Colors is sponsored in partnership with the Mid-Atlantic States Career and Education Center. The event will be held at the Mid-Atlantic Career Center on south Broadway in Pennsville.
Cocoa and Colors begins at 4 p.m. with a hot turkey dinner and all the trimmings, followed by cocoa. An artist will guide even the most nervous painter through step-by-step instruct ions on how to create a wonderful holiday scene. Salem County’s Pennsville High School Orchestra and the Pennsville Jazz Band will set t he holiday mood. And, Santa has even been known to make an appearance for those on the “nice list.”
