Holiday Parades in New Jersey’s Heartland
It wouldn’t feel like Holiday season without ceremoniously lighting up our small towns, celebrating Santa’s arrival from the North Pole into our neighborhoods, and watching floats decorated in Holiday fashion pass through our charming Main Streets. Holiday parades capture the Christmas Spirit and bring communities together to welcome the Holiday Season.
You can journey into New Jersey’s Heartland’s world of holiday magic by attending one of these wonderful holiday festivals!
Santa’s Grand Arrival Parade at Storybook Land – November 14th
Come and cheer Santa Claus’s arrival! Santa will appear in his chimney, wave his magic wand and light up Storybook Land’s more than one million lights in celebration of the holiday season! You can enjoy all the rides, attractions, and snack bars after the parade.
Historic Smithville’s Holiday Light Show – November 26th
This is an orchestrated music and light show across Lake Meone, featuring more than 100 floating Christmas Trees. Admission is free and the show will run from Thanksgiving through January 6, 2016.
SNJ Today Millville Christmas Parade – November 27th
The Greater Millville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the SNJ Today’s Millville Christmas. The parade’s theme will be “Home for the Holidays: Honoring Our Veterans,” saluting the brave men and women who have served in the military. The parade will start at High Street and Harrison Avenue, proceeding south on High Street to City Hall. There will be a float contest with prizes and trophies to be given for first, second, and third place! For more information, visit www.millville-nj.com.
Main Street Vineland Holiday Parade – November 28th
The Annual Main Street Vineland Parade is one of Vineland’s biggest downtown events. The parade features holiday-themed floats, cars bands, filling the downtown with thousands of people celebrating the holiday season. The restaurants on Main Street are dressed up for the occasion and prepared to serve delicious dishes! Santa lights the lights at the end of the parade!
Swedesboro Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting – November 28th
The Annual Christmas Parade of Swedesboro begins with a variety of floats on Kings Highway at Walter Hill School, ending with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Woolwich Fire House. Following the parade, there will be the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony and caroling at Borough Hall.
Mullica Hill Lights on Main – November 28th
Christmas in Mullica Hill will officially commence when the 60 foot Christmas tree is lit. Come and enjoy a carriage ride along Main Street, delicious refreshments and drinks, activities for the kids, Christmas carols, and a visit from Santa!
Bridgeton Christmas Parade – November 29th
Bridgeton’s Annual Christmas Parade will be filled with holiday fun! See this holiday season’s floats make their way down Commerce Street, listen to holiday music, and witness Santa making his first appearance of the season!
Candlelight Shopping – December 5th
Main Street in Mullica Hill will be decorated to its fullest holiday grandeur, and fully lit by candles. Shops will be filled with candles, wreaths, books, holiday decor, antiques, and gifts for all ages! Enjoy live music, carolers, strollers dressed in period costume and more!
Bridgeton Festival of Lights at City Park – December 5th
This year’s Festival of Lights will be at Bridgeton’s Conhanzick Zoo! You’ll really feel the holiday spirit as you are surrounded by holiday displays and decorative lights, all the while listening to Christmas caroling. There will be craft and food vendors, a visit from Santa, and Holiday Karaoke!
Main Street Hammonton Presents 2015 Downtown Holiday – December 5th
Come witness Santa arriving to Downtown Hammonton! Decorated fire trucks, floats, dance groups and music will be strolling through the charming streets! The shops, restaurants and services will be decorated and open late! Following the parade, the tree light lighting ceremony will take place to initiate the Holiday Season in Downtown Hammonton!
Salem Magic of Christmas Parade – December 5th
Witness true magic alongside Main Street! The parade will consist of decorated floats, fire engines, dance groups, antique cars, ambulances, high school bands and more! Craft vendors will be present so that you can get an early start to your holiday shopping, on the way out grab a bite of some delicious baked goods by local vendors! After the parade, you can visit historic homes, churches, and sites, shop for antiques, collectibles and local art! For more information on tickets, call 856-339-0400. (Parade is free)
Holiday Jingle Fest – December 11th
Carney’s Point, NJ
Come see Santa and pose for pictures with him! Enjoy shopping for holiday crafts, face painting, balloon animals, bounce house and tasty treats!
Clayton’s 16th Annual Christmas Celebration – December 12th (Rain Date: December 13th)
Take a horse and buggy ride through downtown Clayton! Following your ride, snatch up some Christmas gifts at Borough Hall, where there will be vendors and kids activities! Famous Barbara Anne’s will be open for hot soup and chili while everyone waits for the parade!
