Kelsey Stockton, Edgar Trejo and Donovan Velez

Kelsey Stockton, Edgar Trejo, and Donovan Velez are recent graduates of Salem Community College. The bond that ties these extraordinary young people together and led to their Heartland Heroes nomination is that all three graduated from Salem Community College BEFORE they graduated from high school!

Kelsey earned an Associate in Arts degree with high honors in liberal arts from Salem Community College, as well as a spot on the New Jersey All-State Academic Team along with 36 other community college students. She will transfer to Rutgers New Brunswick. Edgar and Donovan both graduated with an Associate in Science degree in biology/chemistry. Edgar will enroll in Salem Community College’s pharmacy technician program, while Donovan will be attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

We congratulate Kelsey, Edgar, and Donovan for their exemplary academic performance which qualifies them as Heartland Heroes.
