New Jersey’s Heartland is home to some of the best Farmers and Roadside markets in the country. Some are indoor-outdoor marketplace destinations while others are small roadside stands where you can shop straight from the farm. Many farms also offer pick-your-own experiences, where you can enjoy the day selecting your fruits and vegetables straight from the vine or tree.
One of New Jersey’s Heartland’s most famous Farmers Markets is The Cowtown Farmers Market, which has been serving buyers and sellers since 1926. This twice-weekly, year round, indoor and outdoor farmers market and flea market is in Pilesgrove. Open year around, every Tuesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine, the Cowtown Farmers Market features 400 merchants buying and selling antiques, livestock, produce and collectibles.
