Main Street Vineland And Greater Vineland Chamber Of Commerce To Co-Sponsor Next Merchants Meet-And-Greet At Vineland Historical & Antiquarian Society On October 4
Get Together With Friends and Area Businesses
Open to Public
VINELAND, NJ—Main Street Vineland and the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce will be co-sponsoring the next Merchants Meet-and-Greet event on Thursday, October 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Vineland Historical & Antiquarian Society at 108 S. Seventh St., Vineland.
The purpose of the Merchants Meet-and-Greets is to bring the various downtown and area businesses and the public together to get to know each other, along with Main Street Vineland and Vineland Chamber of Commerce representatives, according to Main Street Vineland Executive Director Russell Swanson. They are also opportunities to share news about the latest happenings on The Ave and elsewhere in Vineland.
“We’re especially proud to celebrate our city’s heritage by having this event at a place that has long been a repository of Vineland’s history and a destination for those seeking to learn more about it and we appreciate their generous hospitality as host. With the Vineland Chamber of Commerce on board for this, we celebrate businesses throughout Vineland that help to make our city great.”
“This sort of interaction among our businesses and the public is so very important in a strong center-city business community and the strong turnouts we have been having create a strong network,” Swanson said. “A downtown is a community of its own and the members of that community work best when they know and work with each other.”
This is also opportunity for the businesses and the public to get to know what the Main Street program offers and what the Vineland Chamber of Commerce does and how they can benefit from what both offer. Doing this on a regular basis, Swanson said, builds on the progress already established.
“We at Main Street Vineland, like the Vineland Chamber of Commerce, want to keep our merchants and the public informed about what is going on in our downtown, but also we want feedback from the businesses, as well,” said Main Street Vineland Associate Director and Business Development Director Robert Scarpa. “This not only includes input from the businesses but also using forums like this to show off what goods and services they offer the public.”
