MAIN STREET VINELAND CHRISTMAS PARADE FLOAT WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The winning floats have been announced for the Main Street Vineland Christmas Parade. The parade, organized by Main Street Vineland, with major sponsorship by Friends of Michael Testa Jr. for State Senate, and supporting sponsorship by Newfield National Bank and Lidl, had the theme “An Olde Fashioned Christmas on The Ave,’” and took place on Saturday, November 27, on Landis Avenue in Vineland.
“The Christmas Parade has long been a Vineland tradition and has always been one of our largest events of the year. The participants, year after year, put in lots of hard work, and this tremendous spirit, effort, and dedication constantly shows,” said Main Street Vineland Executive Director Russell Swanson. “No matter the weather from year to year, it doesn’t dampen the spirit of the participants and those who work so hard to make the parade possible.”
The judging of various parade participant categories rated first, second, and third place winners for floats in two divisions—“Grand” for large floats and “Petite” for smaller floats.
The winners are as follows:
Grand Division:
1st Place: R&R Flaim Next Generation Produce
2nd Place: The Dolores Romeo Foundation
3rd Place: The Scales Team State Farm & Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity
Petite Division:
1st Place: AMSA (Applied Mathematics and Science Academy) – Johnstone School
2nd Place: KG & Son Transport
3rd Place: Dixon’s Dance Academy
“The results also showed that people wanted to get out and enjoy themselves and the season, after the challenges of this past year,” said Main Street Vineland Associate Director Robert Scarpa. “The volunteers and others who put in so much time every year planning and organizing the parade all came together again to make it run smoothly. It is a Vineland tradition that continues and gets better each year, helping to make The Ave come alive with holiday cheer. Kudos go to everyone who made this parade another success.”
