MAIN STREET VINELAND’S SECOND CRAFTS AND ANTIQUES SHOW ON THE AVE POSTPONED TO MAY 8 RAIN DATE
Juried Show to Include Downtown Merchants Sidewalk Sale
Over 40 Vendors Expected
Main Street Vineland’s second Crafts and Antiques Show on The Ave, is being postponed to the Sunday, May 8 rain date because of anticipated inclement weather, Originally scheduled for Saturday, May 7, it will still take place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the 600 block of Landis Avenue.
“With rain and wind forecast for Saturday, we thought that it would be best to move the event to the rain date,” said Main Street Vineland Executive Director Russell Swanson. “You can added the show to your plans for Mother’s Day and pick up some great gifts.’
With a large market existing for good quality crafts and antiques, Main Street Vineland is again working with a firm that has a large database of crafters and antique dealers. This will be a juried show with the firm and Main Street Vineland taking part in the participant selection process. Merchants on The Ave are also being invited to participate in the sidewalk sale aspect of the event.
“The response from our first show last November was such that we have brought it back and, with spring weather, we anticipate a great turnout,” Swanson said. “These shows attract a good number of vendors, of which we are expecting over 40, and interested parties who come to look for fine crafts and antiques. We’re proud to add this as another strong part of our calendar of events.”
Main Street Vineland Associate Director Robert Scarpa sees this as a win for everyone concerned.
“Not only do the vendors get additional exposure, but the public will have another chance to pick up some fine items. With the street remaining open to traffic, it will be good for our downtown merchants and restaurants along our walking trails,” Scarpa said.
