Mark Your Calendar! Kick Off Summer at Appel Farm SJ Arts Fest!
Appel Farm, the leading arts education center in South Jersey, is hosting its inaugural Arts Fest on June 2-3, from 1-6 p.m. It’s a smorgasbord of arts and culture all happening in one fantastic weekend. There’s something for everyone at the Appel Farm’s beautiful Elmer, NJ, campus.
This exciting, jam-packed weekend festival features live music, performance art, student-based performances, crafters and artists, delicious fare from gourmet food trucks, craft brews and local wine. Music by well-known, regional artists including: foot-stomping, Brother Joscephus and the Love Revolution, Balkan brass band West Philadelphia Orchestra, singer-songwriter Joe Crookston, South Jersey’s powerhouse country performers Williams Honor, Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre and more!
There will be activities for children and adults alike. Kids can experience a taste of Appel Farm summer camp’s magic at “Arts Camp Pop Up” with visual and performing arts activities, a bounce house and yard games just for kids! While the kids are off having fun, parents can check out the selection of craft beers or enjoy a special experience with the “Art of Winemaking” where they can meet the winemakers of Auburn Road Vineyard & Winery. Adults can taste specialty wines and learn about the fine art of winemaking.
Plus, on Saturday night, festival attendees can camp under the stars! Families will enjoy a campfire, s’mores and a performance by a Joe Crookston. On Sunday morning, novice and experienced riders can join the South Jersey Cycling Tour or stay for more fun at the Arts Fest.
