Michele Gambone

Our Heartland Hero is a helpful neighbor from Gloucester County. Michele Gambone founded the Unforgotten Haven, a non-profit organization out of Blackwood, NJ. This organization is open to members of the community at any age who wish to help others.  In an average week, there are about 28 projects that take place to help a variety of people in need. These projects range from creating chemo bags to blessing bags for the homeless. Project events include providing baby Angel gowns to newborns at local hospitals and supplying hurricane relief trucks. Among all the projects and events Michele organizes to help people, she takes time to take care of animals in need. She receives donations and support by finding them stable homes. Michele was selected as our Heartland Hero because no matter what the project is and what needs to be completed, she manages to remain on task and work to reach the end goal. With all of her hard work and dedication, it is an honor to have Michele Gambone as NJ Heartland’s Hero.
