ONE LOVE TATTOO STUDIO AND ART GALLERY HOLDS OFFICIAL RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY
Organized by Main Street Vineland and Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce
Example of “Outside the Box” Innovative Retailing
VINELAND, NJ—With city, county, and state officials and leaders present, an official ribbon-cutting ceremony recently took place at The Ave’s newest business, One Love Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery, 710A E. Landis Ave., in downtown Vineland.
The event was sponsored by Main Street Vineland and the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce.
To eliminate the old-fashion stereotype that exists of tattoo parlors, owner Vanessa Torres decided to couple the tattoo studio with an art gallery of topical works by area artists. Last fall, the lease was signed.
Since the business’s recent opening, the efforts put toward this dream project have paid off.
“This is exactly the kind of creative thinking and innovative retailing that has been has repeatedly been successful in many towns and cities,” said Main Street Vineland Executive Director Russell Swanson. “Several years ago, Martini Shoes did well with a combination of shoes and art and this duplicates that concept.”
This is a way for new and prospective businesses to broaden their appeal and their clientele by thinking “outside the box,” according to Main Street Vineland Associate Director and Business Development Director Robert Scarpa.”
“Sometimes, a single retail concept may not catch fire, but if you think creatively and blend concepts, you could latch onto something that will be novel, attract attention, and be successful,” he said.
