With more than 2 million acres devoted to growing a variety of fine varietal wines, New Jersey’s Heartland’s Outer Coastal Plain American Viticulture Area (AVA) has gained an outstanding reputation and is highly popular among wine lovers.
No matter where you are in New Jersey’s Heartland, there are many wineries close by. Among the best ways to experience these wonderful wineries and vineyards is through these two spectacular wine trails.
Along the way, you’ll find delicious restaurants featuring farm-to-table menus, wonderful accommodations, a wealth of history, spectacular shopping, and a host of attractions.
New Jersey law prohibits the sale of food at breweries, so don’t leave home without some light fare (most establishments encourage it) and plan to enjoy yourself. Many of the breweries have live entertainment and visiting food trucks, so check their websites or follow them on social media for updates.
