Experience a groovy journey through the 1960s, as The British Invasion Years pays tribute to the music that helped shape an entire generation to perform at The Levoy Theatre.
The British Invasion Years, also considered as, “The Beatles in America” was an era of cultural occurrence of the mid-1960’s when rock and pop music acts became popular from both sides of the Atlantic. Rock and roll is the genre that truly appeals to both the young and the young at heart.
The first act includes songs by iconic British groups such as The Zombies, Dave Clark Five, The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, Herman’s Hermits, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Manfred Mann and many others. The American Response follows, with music by such legendary artists as The Monkees, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Mamas and The Papas, The Turtles, Paul Revere & The Raiders, to name just a few. Lastly, the journey through the 1960’s settles with an amazing finale with songs from The Beatles!
The Levoy Theatre is proud to have the British Invasion Years to share the best music with Cumberland County on November 23rd! The not-for-profit organization, located in Millville, serves Southern New Jersey and surrounding areas. The doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM.
