Serenade Yourself with the Sounds of Music at Bunker Hill
Music at Bunker Hill returns to Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church. Season 14 welcomes Stefan Jackiw and Anna Polonsky on November 28, 2021.
Stefan Jackiw is one of America’s foremost violinists, captivating audiences with playing that combines poetry and purity with an impeccable technique. Hailed for playing of “uncommon musical substance” that is “striking for its intelligence and sensitivity” (Boston Globe), Jackiw has appeared as a soloist with the Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco symphony orchestras, among others.
Anna Polonsky is widely in demand as a soloist chamber musician. She has appeared with the Moscow Virtuosi, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Memphis Symphony, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, the St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble, and many others.

Performances will include Sonata for Violin and Keyboard in B minor by J. S. Bach (1685-1750), Partita for Violin, and Piano by Witold Lutoslawski (1913-1994) and Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Major, “Regensonate,” op. 78 Johannes Brahms (1833-1897).

• Masks are mandatory
• To promote social distancing, Bunker Hill will sell only 50% of its capacity for fall concerts.
• Concerts will be played without intermission, about 65 minutes in length
