TAJ CHI FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT
The Salem County office on Aging and Disabilities is offering a new fall series of its popular Tai Chi for Pain Management classes starting September 5th, with a choice of two locations. The one-hour “beginner classes” are free, but space is limited so sign-ups are encouraged.
The 12-week sessions will be held on Thursdays from 11 a.m. until noon at Friends Village in Woodstown, and from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Mid-Atlantic States Career and Education Center, formerly Queen of Apostles Church in Pennsville.
Tai Chi for Pain Management involves 12 movements that arc designed specifically for people looking to better manage their pain. These classes are proven beneficial to those living with arthritis pain and limited mobility. The movements improve balance, flexibility, and well-being. Jerry Blake, a certified instructor, will teach the movements.
For advanced registration to ensure a spot in class, please call Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities at 856-339-8622. Courtesy transportation is available through Salem County Office on Aging & Disabilities.
